Mrs. Flye r
eceived her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and graduate degree in Education from East Carolina University. She has served as a school counselor in Edgecombe and Vance counties and has directed a non-profit organization. A former student of Vance Academy, she has directed the KVA Learning Center (formerly the Resource Center) since 1995.
The Learning Center provides a variety of services to students from pre-school to twelfth grade with academic needs, including some support for students with diagnosed attention or learning issues. Services include reading and other remediation, direct curriculum assistance, study and organizational skills tutoring, consultation, and limited testing.
