Savannah Barnes, a junior at Kerr- Vance Academy served as a House Page during the week of March 13 – 16. Savannah was invited along with other Girl Scouts to work as a Page and learn more about the legislative process within our state government. During that time working in the House, Savannah learned much about how the state legislature works. She observed how bills were brought forward for consideration and the process of how committees worked to adopt them. She participated in mock sessions to put forth bills and these included interactions with Speaker Tim Moore. It was a valuable learning experience. Savannah is the daughter of Chris and Angel Barnes of Youngsville.
