KVA soccer concluded its season on Saturday, dropping a 4-0 contest to Wayne Country Day in the second round of the NCISAA state playoffs. The Spartans were disappointed but nevertheless, can be proud of an outstanding season. The squad, led by coaches Devon Honeywell and Jesus Peralta, finished with an 19-2-2 record and enjoyed being ranked very high in the state 1A polls this season. The Spartans had three players in the top 75 for points, goals, and assists. Goalie Cam Pritchett was in the top 50 state-wide for saves. Christopher Steg was in the top 5 in the nation for points and goals. He was #1 in both categories state-wide. Raphael Negron was in the top 50 in North Carolina for points and both he and Luke Frazier were top 50 in the state for assists. We are very proud of the team!
