Alumni Spotlight: Charlie Averett

Charlie Averett, a 2018 graduate of KVA and a current freshman at North Carolina State University stopped by on Thursday to say hello before returning to school.

Charlie is studying mechanical engineering and shared a recent project that he and his team submitted in the Freshman Engineering Design Day (FEDD) – a Mechanical Music Maker. Quite appropriately, it plays the NCSU Fight Song. Charlie’s senior quote was “It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.” – Leonardo da Vinci. Charlie, you exemplify that quote and we are very proud of you!
